Child victims of gender violence

As we have already worked with other issues, as children is, the violence, the abuse, we've hung on specific entries in this blog with reference materials on the subject, want to include in this post several materials that we find useful to learn more about the care of child victims of domestic violence and also reflect the work we are doing on the subject.

Our knowledge on the subject of coordinated research while working at Save the Children “Attention to child victims of domestic violence”. This research was the first to be held in Spain on the subject and managed to put on the public agenda and institutional deficiencies then existing in the care of children victims of domestic violence. To start your little visibility as victims of violence. Since 2006 was published much has changed for the better in this topic, but other aspects of the results of this work which remain in full force.

We include here the state report, but there are available web de Save the Children reports for the seven regions where the research was conducted. Also held in the framework of this work the “Manual training for practitioners on child victims of gender violence in the family”.

From there we know that Save the Children has continued to work and make visible the issue in a very significant that we have been echoing from Spiral Consulting Children in different inputs.

As part of the work of Spiral Consulting Children have followed publishing articles and giving presentations on this topic, each of which we have been spreading from this blog, but we include here the contents of two articles.

The first is a chapter “Psychological perspective in family disputes: children before the divorce and dating violence”, Book Family meeting places. Practical Manual, Peñalver Piñero coordinated by Jessica et al. and published in 2009 by Child Health Foundation Elche.

The second is more awareness and an article was published in the Journal FAMIPED Spanish Association of Pediatrics, volume 3, number 2, June 2010, and titrated “¿It affects the children of domestic violence?”. I think they can serve as a first approach to the subject effectively.

We hope these materials will be useful.
